About Me

Hello!! Thanks for visiting! I'm Nick, a web/app developer with a passion for crafting captivating and enjoyable user interactions.

I graduated from Lehigh University with a bachelors of science in Computer Science and Engineering in just over 3 years and have nearly two years of professional experience in developing web applications for companies in sectors ranging from mental health applications to firearm detection and control.

Besides coding, I spend a lot of my time playing strategy video games (Fire Emblem, TFT, etc.) or discussing reality tv like Survivor!

My Projects

Here are just a few examples of my work as a full-time web/app developer and as a development intern and Lehigh University student.

Student Health & Wellness App
A year long project started and worked on in a team of 3 developers for a renowned University, giving me experience with a variety of other tools, including AWS integration and external database connections.

Student Health & Wellness App - Full-Time Development

Worked as part of a three-person development team to create a ground-breaking Flutter app for a renowned California university. My focus was on translating Figma designs into responsive and functional interfaces with an emphasis on ease-of-use and visual clarity. Experience was gained in communicating between various databases and backends and understanding the deployment cycle through AWS.

My Survivor Simulator Website

Survivor Simulator - Personal Project

I don't only code for work! In my spare time I also use my skills to create things that are more personalized to my interests and would be fun to use in everyday life. For example, I recently started an online simulator for the reality competition show "Survivor", which I have linked to the left. Doing side projects like these not only allows me to brush up on skills and frameworks that I may not be currently using in my work life projects, but also are able to showcase my talents in a more unique, exciting, and most importantly, fun to create way!

Business Card Sharing App
Developed solely by myself for use by the entire company.

Business Card App - Internship Project

As a software development intern at BrickSimple for two consecutive summers, I gained valuable professional experience. In 2023, I built a mobile app to be used by employees of the company that allowed mobile business cards to be shared via NFC, QR, etc. This was a solo project in which I was responsible for every aspect of the build using Flutter/Dart.

Firearm Deteciton Website
A two person project to redesign our client's outdated website.

Firearm Control and Detection Website - Internship Project

As part of my internship for 2022, I was part of a team in which I built a library of custom React styled components to create a new frontend interface for a company in firearm detection and control. I experienced the full range of the developmental process including weekly stand-ups, sprints, client meetings, testing and problem-solving.

Help Coach - Capstone
Mental health app created from scratch for college students.

Mobile Help Coach for College Students - Lehigh CSE Capstone

I was the lead developer on a team of 3 in which we built a mental health app for college students. Used Flutter/Dart to create features such as journaling, group communication, location-based social media-like systems, with Firebase integration for the backend.

Project Portfolio Website
Created with Next.js

This website!

I developed this portfolio website as a way to demonstrate my coding capability (especially since much of the other work I've done is proprietary and cannot be shared), as well as a way to learn new skills to add to my repertoire. Created from scratch, this site uses next.js and tailwind css, two fun new tools that served as extensions of things I have used previously while giving me better breadth of knowledge surrounding web development.
